45° 雙刃 V形溝槽銑刀 – AstraHP塗層 – Bits&Bits (425-VG45)

I finally got around to cutting some 1/8" aluminum with this bit and the AstraHP coating really does seem to reduce chip welding. The V-groove came out clean and crisp through a full-length test piece.

The AstraHP coating is holding up beautifully—I’ve pushed it through solid brass and it still leaves a mirror-smooth V-groove with zero chatter. Cuts acrylic cleanly too, though you barely need to slow down to avoid melting. Just make sure your spindle is true; this bit rewards a rigid setup.

I’ve been cutting acrylic with this bit and the chips come off clean instead of melting into the cut, which makes a huge difference. The 45° point marks wood grain and plastic neatly, and the AstraHP coating still looks fresh after a dozen uses. Only wish the description mentioned how it handles bra
