1.4mm Metric Ball End Mill

I was worried about chatter at this tiny 1.4mm size, but the solid micrograin carbide held up beautifully on a brass prototype. The 2-flute design cleared chips well and left a nice finish on the curved slot.

For small PCB work this ball end mill cuts clean curves with very little chatter, and the micrograin carbide holds its edge through several jobs. I was surprised how precise the 1.4mm tip is on the first test pass.

The 1.4mm tip is genuinely round, so the curved slot I cut came out smooth without any chatter marks. It's held up through a few hours of aluminum work with no visible wear, which is more than I expected from something this tiny.
