1/2″ to 8mm Collet Reducer

I needed a clean way to switch between 1/2-inch and 8mm bits in my router, and this reducer fits snugly without any wobble. The machining feels precise, and it holds the bit securely during a heavy cut. Exactly what I needed for my mix of metric and imperial shanks.

The 1/2-inch side grips the collet precisely with no wobble during test cuts, and the 8mm bore holds my bit dead center. Swapping bits takes me under a minute now that I don't have to change the whole collet.

Finally got around to using this on my router table and the 8mm bit seated dead-center with zero wobble at full speed. The whole swap takes seconds once the reducer is in place, and it's held tight through a dozen cuts so far. Exactly what I needed to stop juggling collets.
