Most fret slotting profiles are a standard 0.020″ width at the tang, our 1/8″ Fret Slot Cutting Spiral Bit bit works well for cutting .023″ fret slots. It also can be used to clean up cavities for inlay. Previously SRF023.

Speeds and Feeds

For hardwood and shell, we recommend the following starting point:

  • Spindle Speed: 24,000RPM
  • Feed rate: 8.0 IPM
  • Plunge rate: 3.0 IPM
