.050 Square End Mill – 2 Flute

Needed a 1.27mm cutter for some tight detail work and this little two-flute end mill handled it without chattering. The 1/8 inch shank fits my standard collet, and the 0.150 inch length of cut was plenty for the depth I was running.

Cutting 0.050 inch slots in walnut with this 2-flute and the chips clear out enough that I'm not re-cutting them on the second pass. The 0.150 inch length of cut is shallow, so I keep my depth per pass small, but it's held up fine on about a dozen parts.

The 1/8 inch shank fits my trim router perfectly and the .050 tip cuts clean slots in walnut without any chatter. The 0.150 inch length of cut is short, but that's exactly what I needed for shallow inlay work.
