Fraise à chanfrein baroque français – Whiteside 3300

I’ve been using this bit to add an elegant, classic detail to my kitchen cabinet doors, and the carved line detail is beautifully deep and consistent. The 1-3/4 inch diameter cut cleanly through red oak without burning, even at a moderate router speed.

The profile is crisp and clean right out of the box, with every little detail of the classic design cutting smoothly on a test piece of oak. I’ve used cheaper bits that chattered on the end grain, but this one left no tear-out at all. Exactly the look I was after for a dining table edge.

Cut this Baroque edge profile and the depth of detail in one pass is genuinely stunning—every curve and ridge lands crisp without burning, even on maple. The bearing rides smooth as glass, so I’ve already used it on three table tops and haven’t touched a sander yet.
