The 120° V-groove cuts incredibly cleanly through walnut, and the AstraHP coating really helps keep the bit from gumming up during long runs. It leaves a mirror-like finish on the bottom of the groove that requires almost no sanding.

I paired this bit with some hard maple, and the 120° angle left a beautifully crisp V-groove on the first pass—no burning even at moderate speed.
