Had some trouble with tear-out using other bits on plywood, but the down-cut flutes on this one practically eliminated it. The AstraHP coating seems to help it glide through the cut without gumming up. Was able to trim a full countertop edge with zero burning.

The double ball bearing pilot keeps it riding dead-stable against the template, and the down-cut flutes pull chips away instead of scorching the edge. I trimmed a full sheet of plywood in one pass and the cut stayed glass-smooth the whole way.

This bit glides along the template and the down-cut flutes actually push the chips down, so there's zero burning on the edge. The double ball bearing pilot stays smooth even after a dozen passes on oak. Cleanest flush trim I've gotten without any tear-out.
